All You Need to Know About Hennessey F5 Venom!

Background of Hennessey F5 Venom:

This carbon-fibre bodied F5 Venom was first previewed in the year 2018. It is quite different from the Ultra-Low-Volume Venom GT 2011. The former is using an in-house platform rather than a heavily modified Lotus Chassis.

Design of Hennessey Venom:

The difference between the concept and the production model is based on features and designs like aerodynamics. There will be a prominently larger diffuser, and also, no raised wing will be seen. Also, no active aero elements are there, which seems to be quite unusual. David Davis, the Production Director, said that the main purpose of this design is to create the much-needed downforce for high-speed stability, that too, without making excessive drag.

Apart from these variations, the rest of the production model is quite similar to the concept car. The decent passenger space, butterfly doors, and the perfect amalgamation of carbon fibre trim and leather facings make the production model highly similar to the concept car. A few other impressive details are there as well. For instance, CNC machined vent holes have been used to make the entire rear section of the Hennessey Venom.     

Engine and gearbox options:

The F5 Venom will come equipped with a 6.6 litre overhead-valve, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. This engine will be capable of churning out power worth 1842bhp and a torque of 1617Nm. The 1360 kg of dry weight will make the Hennessey Venom the fastest road-legal car in the entire world. If we are to believe the predictions of the company, then the car will take about 2.6 seconds to shift from 0 to 100 kph, 4.7 seconds to reach from 0 to 200kph, and 8.4 seconds to move to 300 kph from 0 kph. The CIMA 7-speed single-clutch automated transmission, as well as a limited-slip differential, supplies all the power to the rear wheels of F5 Venom.

The mechanicals:

The car is capable of offering enormous performance. Yet, it can be driven at lesser speeds as well. Also, the car can easily cope up with the tracks and rocks and v-max runs. Passive dampers are used by the double-wishbone suspension. They can be easily adjusted for rebounds and bumps. There are five selectable driving modes as well, like, F5 for maximum speed and Drag for acceleration.

The platform for Hennessey F5 Venom:

A carbon fibre monocoque is used by F5 Venom. The KS composites in the UK have made the monocoque, and it weighs about 86 kg.

Hennessey F5 Venom Targets:

According to the convictions of John Hennessey, the F5 Venom will be much faster than the old Venom GT. He is planning to prove the performance of the car. However, he is worried about the limited space available at the NASA road to test the speed of the F5 Venom.
